Abstinence Involved Mentoring (or AIM) gives high school students a chance to meet with college students under the guidance of our STARS facilitators.
High School students, in a group setting, get to discuss issues they face daily, like Peer Pressure, Refusal Skills, and Life Goals.
It's not a counceling session, it's a chance to share their thoughts with others and gain perspective from people who are just a few years older and might have experienced the same things in high school.
College participants get a chance to mentor high school students, and benefit by praticing ways to encourage high school students to make healthier chocies in their lives, while sharing their own experiences in a group setting.
